Unique African tribal art painting based on the poem Sunset at Dawn. Breathless, nature cries My sons, drop your swords and spears Beat them into ploughshears, For the land is uncultivated, bare Disease ravages the land, and hunger caresses the people But Alas, they have gone too far to listen The drums of war have long being beating Helpless, the sun bears her light As men bow to mortality As tropical blood is offered to enmity Today, the African sun, sets at dawn For our heroes are gone Our acts tell we miss their presence In our hearts we feel the emptiness Violence has become our anthem And war our song But if we believe, Then, the river of time will wipe the tears Hope will ease the pain And faith may one day, make the sun rise again |
